Adult individual therapy
Individual therapy offers a confidential and supportive space to explore emotional difficulties, personal challenges, relationship concerns, and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing, relationships, or daily life.

People may seek therapy at different stages of life and for many different reasons. At times, individuals may feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to navigate certain experiences or ongoing life pressures. For others, therapy may become a space for reflection, personal growth, self-understanding, or making sense of patterns that no longer feel helpful or sustainable.
At AwareCare Psychology, therapy is approached with the understanding that emotional wellbeing is often influenced by many interconnected factors, including:
- Personal history and life experiences
- Relationship and interpersonal dynamics
- Emotional patterns and coping responses
- Stress, pressure, and life transitions
- Self-worth, identity, and internal struggles
- Cultural, family, and environmental influences

Depending on the individual’s needs and goals, therapy may involve:
- Emotional exploration and reflection
- Understanding recurring patterns and emotional responses
- Strengthening coping capacities and emotional regulation
- Proccessing difficult or emotionally unresolved experiences
- Improving self-awareness and insight
- Working towards meaningful and sustainable psychological change
- Practical and solution-focused support where appropriate
Therapy is tailored to the individual and approached collaboratively, recognising that each person enters therapy with different experiences, goals, levels of readiness, and ways of engaging in the therapeutic process.
Homeyra works with adults from a wide range of personal backgrounds and life experiences, providing support across a broad range of emotional, interpersonal, psychological, and life-related concerns.
Sessions are available both in-person in Sydney and online via telehealth across Australia.
