Therapy Services

Individual psychological therapy for adults in Sydney and via telehealth across Australia.

Individual therapy offered through AwareCare Psychology provides a confidential and supportive space to explore challenges impacting wellbeing.

The clinical approach is integrative and tailored to each individual. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. The direction, pace, and therapeutic methods used will depend on the concerns, goals, and personal history each client brings.

A Space to Reflect and Move Forward

Psychological therapy offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and make sense of what feels overwhelming, unclear, or unresolved.

What to Expect in Therapy

In the initial sessions, the focus is on exploring current concerns, relevant history, and what the client hopes to gain from therapy.

Sessions may involve:

Exploring emotional patterns
and relational dynamics
Developing practical
coping strategies
Processing significant
life experiences
Strengthening emotional regulation
Building resilience and psychological flexibility

Session Structure

Sessions are typically 50 minutes in duration.

Session frequency is discussed individually. Many clients begin with weekly sessions, which may gradually reduce as progress is made.

Both short-term and longer-term therapy options are available.

Format of Therapy

In-Person Appointments (Sydney)

Sessions are available in Sydney through affiliated clinic locations.

Telehealth (Australia-wide)

Telehealth sessions are offered via online platforms, allowing access to therapy from anywhere in Australia.

Process

  1. Initial Enquiry
Individuals can reach out through the contact form, email, or phone to enquire about appointments, availability, or any questions regarding therapy and the support process.

  2. Appointment & Intake Forms
Once an appointment has been arranged, intake and consent forms will be provided to gather relevant background information and assist with the initial assessment process prior to the first session.

  3. Initial Session
The first session provides an opportunity to explore the individual’s current concerns, personal history, therapeutic goals, and the reasons that may have led them to seek support at this stage of their life. It also allows space to discuss any questions about therapy, the therapeutic approach, and the process moving forward.

  4. Ongoing Therapy
Therapy sessions are approached collaboratively and tailored to the individual’s needs, goals, and pace. Depending on the individual, therapy may involve developing greater emotional awareness, exploring patterns and experiences, strengthening coping capacities, improving relationships, processing difficult experiences, or working towards meaningful personal change and emotional wellbeing over time.

  5. Review & Therapeutic Goals
Throughout the therapeutic process, sessions may be reviewed collaboratively to reflect on progress, evolving goals, and the individual’s changing needs over time.
